Laughing Tonto            1994 Red Dun Gelding
aka "Skeeter"                AQHA #3288802

We got Skeeter from Grandpa Bill as a yearling.   We knew he would be big, but little did we realize what a gentle giant he would turn out to be.  He stands 16.3 3/4 hh  (only because we do not want to admit he is 17hh tall....)  He is Jody's "baby" but his current occupation is as Jen's 4-H horse.  He can change from Western Pleasure & Trail horse to Games horse very quickly.  They were the High-Point All-Around Champions for Pennington County in 2002 & 2004.  For 2004 he also got a quick lesson to become an English horse for the 4H county show.  He did quite well so I guess it's never too late to learn something new.  He is also certified as a Sheriff's Mounted Posse Horse.  And if he has any "spare" time, John also uses him for Team Sorting & Penning.   Skeeter won his 1st saddle in Team Penning as a 4 year old in 1998.  He is also the horse everyone else wants to "borrow" at shows.
